2010 Request for Applications (RFA) is now open for full proposals.
Grant Application Process
Stage One: Requires the completion of a pre-proposal, which is a short application that must be completed online. Only those that have been invited to submit a full-proposal may move on the Stage Two.
Stage Two: This applies only to those proposals selected to submit a full application. Notification will be made no later than February 1, 2010 and application information is below. The information in the pre-proposal becomes part of the full proposal application and does not need to be entered a second time. Full proposals are due no later than 5:00 PM CST on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
Submitting the Full Proposal (Stage Two)
1. Download and review the North Central RME Center's 2010 Request for Applications carefully.
2. Attend the webinar on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM CST. We will review the full application process and discuss ideas on how to strengthen your proposal. The webinar will be archived for later viewing. Instructions for connecting to the webinar.
3. You will again access the application by using the same on-line application web site, Extension Risk Management Education Verification System. You will also need the original project number and password you were assigned during the pre-proposal stage.
4. Review the Proposal Resources available through the on-line application web site. These resources provide a full explanation for every item requested in the full-proposal application.
5. Follow the steps and instructions to complete your full-proposal application.
6. In addition to the application, you are also requested to upload the following:
- SF424 Research and Related Cover Sheet signed by the authorized representative from the grants office of the submitting institution or the authorizing representative of a private organization. This form can be downloaded from the Proposal Resources link.
- Additional budget information may be required if you are using the services of a sub-contractor or consultant. Read the instructions closely or contact Alissa, arandall4@unl.edu for more information.
- Letters of Commitment from each team member and each collaborator. You must identify their specific role and/or their anticipated contribution to the project. Form letters will not be considered. These signed and dated letters must be written on the letterhead of the team member's/collaborator's organization and addressed to Dr. Doug Jose, NCRMEC Director.
***Important***
Don't click "submit" until you are completely done with your proposal. You may return to the application web site as many times as you wish to continue entering or editing, but once you click "submit" the proposal is locked. You will need the project number and password assigned to you to access your application each time.
Don't forget that the deadline for submission is Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 5:00 PM CST. Occasionally the on-line application site moves slowly when there is a lot of activity, so it' highly recommended that you submit early!!
You will be notified no later than Monday, May 3, 2010.
